AGi Mss, Inc. is seeking a Grant Writer to support our local academic client.

  • Prepare the project narrative and supporting appendices in response to the United States Department of Labor (USDOL) Employment and Training Administration's Grant Application for US Department of Labor Scaling Apprenticeships Through Sector-Based Strategies
  • Prepare the 1) abstract, 2) project overview graphic, 3) performance outcomes table, 4) project work plan, and 5) templates for documentation of partnership letters of commitment.
  • Review evolving proposal with respect to the published scoring/review criteria, past experiences, and interactions with USDOL and related technical assistance providers, and make recommendations to improve the proposal and maximize potential score values.
  • Be available to College personnel during the regular business hours of 8:30 am-5:00 pm EST/EDT and respond to communications within 24 hours.

Qualifications Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience of grant writing
  • Demonstrated experience in Federal government grant writing
  • Demonstrated experience in grant writing for USDOL
  • Demonstrated success in writing grants for higher education institutions in general and community colleges in particular

Desired/Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated success in USDOL and workforce development grants within the past 5 years.
  • Demonstrated success in USDOL TAACCCT, TechHire, and/or America's Promise grants.
  • Demonstrated success in non-USDOL workforce development grants within the past 5 years.
  • Demonstrated success with grants involving the state of Maryland higher education institutions in general and the state of Maryland community colleges in particular.

To be considered for this position, candidates will need to provide three references and information on successfully awarded grants that has been developed within the previous 5 years.
